  • communicate via the Platform's messaging features;
  • request and confirm Sit.

2.3Platform Purpose

The Platform is intended to facilitate non-commercial private arrangements between Members regarding pet and house sitting ("Platform Purpose"). The Platform must not be used to offer or request paid services, to form an employment relationship, to provide professional pet care services, or to engage in any other paid or commercial arrangements.

03

Description of the Services

3.1Tryppa's role

Tryypa provides Platform for Members to find and connect with each other. For the avoidance of doubt, Tryypa especially:

  1. does not arrange Sits;
  2. is not involved in negotiations between Members;
  3. is not a party to the agreement between a Pet Owner and a Sitter;
  4. does not verify home conditions or pet behaviour;
  5. does not provide accommodation or pet care services.

3.2No insurance

Unless expressly stated in Membership Plans, any plans, reimbursements or other benefits offered by Tryypa are not insurance products, and Tryypa is not acting as an insurer or insurance intermediary and shall have no liability for any uninsured losses. Members acknowledge that they are solely responsible for obtaining and maintaining any insurance appropriate to their activities, including home, pet, travel, medical, and personal liability insurance. Tryypa strongly recommends that all Members maintain adequate insurance.

3.3No background checks

Unless expressly stated on the Platform, Tryypa does not conduct background checks, criminal record checks, reference checks, or vetting of Members. Members are solely responsible for conducting any checks or assessments they consider necessary before entering into a Sit.

04

Eligibility and Account Registration

4.1Eligible individuals

Only individuals who are of legal age and have full legal capacity under the laws applicable to them may register to the Platform.

4.2Registration process and verification

To access Services, an individual must register to the Platform and create an Account. The registration process requires the individual to

  1. provide accurate, current and complete information as requested in the registration form;
  2. create login credentials;
  3. complete any additional verification steps that the Platform may reasonably request, including identity verification, which may involve submitting identification documents, biometric verification (e.g., selfie or video), or confirming personal data through third‑party verification providers.

An Account is created only once Tryppa confirms successful registration and completion of all required verification steps. For the avoidance of doubt, account creation is subject to Tryppa's review and approval. Tryppa may reject any registration request at its sole discretion, including in cases where the individual fails to complete the required verification procedures or where the results of such verification are unsatisfactory.

4.3One account rule

Unless expressly permitted, each individual may maintain only one personal Account. However, an Account may be jointly managed by more than one person (e.g., partners, family members or co‑owners of a property), provided that all such individuals use the Account in accordance with these Terms.

Tryppa reserves the right to suspend or remove duplicate Accounts created by the same individual or Accounts created for the purpose of circumventing the Platform's rules.

4.4Account ownership

Accounts are personal to the individual who registered them in accordance with those Terms and may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to any third party.

  9. in any other way to use, attempt to use, or enable others to use the Platform in any unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or harmful manner.
06

Pet Owners and Sitters arrangement

6.1Home Listing

Pet Owners seeking a Sitter may create a Home Listing on the Platform. Sitters may contact Pet Owners through the Platform if they are interested in a Home Listing.

6.2Separate agreement between Members

When a Pet Owner and Sitter confirm a Sit, they enter into a Member Agreement. The only Parties to the Member Agreement are the Pet Owner and the Sitter who have confirmed a Sit. For the avoidance of doubt, Tryypa is not a party to the Member Agreement and has no responsibility for its formation, performance, or enforcement. Members are solely responsible for verifying the suitability of a Sit or Member before entering into a Member Agreement.

6.3Minimum Content of the Member Agreement

The Member Agreement should, at a minimum, include dates, handover arrangements, pet care instructions, house rules, and emergency contacts. Members are solely responsible for assessing the suitability of a Sit and for negotiating the terms of the Member Agreement.

07

Sit cancellation and No-Show rules between Members

7.1General rules

A confirmed Sit is a commitment between the Pet Owner and the Sitter under their Member Agreement. Members must avoid cancellations where reasonably possible.

7.2Cancellation of a confirmed Sit

If either a Pet Owner or a Sitter must cancel a confirmed Sit, they must:

  1. notify the other party immediately via the Platform;
  2. provide a brief explanation;
  3. use reasonable efforts to give as much notice as possible;
  4. remain responsible for their own alternative arrangements.

7.3No-Shows and early termination

A Member must not fail to attend a confirmed Sit without notice ("No-Show") and must not end a Sit early without a serious and legitimate reason, and must communicate promptly. In case of emergencies, Members should prioritise safety and promptly inform the other Member as soon as possible.

7.4Consequences

Tryypa may take proportionate measures in response to repeated cancellations, No-Shows or serious misconduct, including warnings, applying temporary Account suspension, or terminating an Account, as permitted under these Terms.

7.5Dispute resolution between Members

If a dispute arises between Members regarding a Sit, they should first attempt to resolve it directly. Members may request Tryypa's assistance in facilitating communication; however, Tryypa is not obligated to mediate, intervene in, or resolve disputes and will not determine fault or liability between Members.

08

Pet Owners obligations

8.1Pet Owners obligations

Pet Owners undertake and agree to:

  1. provide Sitters with a safe, clean, and reasonably maintained home;
  2. disclose relevant pet health, behaviour, and care needs in advance;
  3. provide clear pet care instructions and emergency contacts;
  4. remain financially responsible for all veterinary costs. Pet Owners should provide clear instructions and authorization limits for emergency veterinary care and arrange payment methods in advance;
  5. disclose all recording or monitoring devices in the Home Listing before any Sit is confirmed, specifying their location and whether they record audio and/or video, and comply with applicable privacy laws. Internal monitoring of private areas (such as bedrooms and bathrooms) is strictly prohibited;
  6. clearly state in the Home Listing the number and type of pets, and any care needs that may make the Sit complex or unsuitable for some Sitters;
  7. Use best efforts not to cancel a confirmed Sit except for serious reasons, and to communicate promptly if cancellation is unavoidable.

8.2Pet behaviour

For the avoidance of doubt, Pet Owners are solely responsible for disclosing any behavioural issues, risks, or special care needs relating to their pets. Tryypa shall have no liability for injuries, damages, or losses caused by pets, including those arising from undisclosed behavioural issues.

09

Sitters obligations

Sitters undertake and agree to:

  1. carry out pet care and house-sitting responsibilities with reasonable care and diligence. Reasonable care means the level of care a reasonable person would exercise with their own pets, following the Pet Owner's written instructions and seeking veterinary attention when a reasonable person would do so;
  2. follow the Pet Owner's reasonable written instructions (including house rules and pet care routines);
  3. contact the Pet Owner promptly if an issue arises during a Sit, including any pet health concerns. In genuine emergencies where the Pet Owner cannot be reached, Sitters are authorized to seek immediate veterinary care and should document all actions taken;
  4. not bring additional persons to a Sit unless expressly agreed in writing with the Pet Owner beforehand. Unauthorized guests may result in immediate Sit termination;
  5. only accept Sits they can reasonably perform based on experience, capability, and the number/type of pets disclosed in the Home Listing;
  6. Use best efforts not to cancel a confirmed Sit except for serious reasons, and to communicate promptly if cancellation is unavoidable.
